@Jolly said in Meanwhile, in England...: Has the definition of rape changed in the UK? No, I don't think so. There is a long history of the justice system not taking reports of it seriously, and victims being subjected to really unpleasant questioning. I believe this may have changed somewhat of late, which is why I asked the question about a willingness to report the offence.

#1) The conservatives hit by the arson are active on Social Media. They got the right attention that drove media to the story… #2) Compared to the Dem headquarters, the scale of damage is drastically different #3) The Chilurch in Minnesota? Just guessing, but I bet A LOT of churches and buildings have been burned down In Minneapolis without getting any attention over the last 4 years…

@George-K said in While we're doing 15 year-olds...: I cheated and googled it. Still have no idea who she was. But JWHT, to be sure. Why do we say JWHT as if it’s a great accomplishment? Jon would hit Rue McLanahan, and she’s been dead for 5 years… JWHT, Jolly would HT, George would HT, pretty much every heterosexual male in this site would’ve hit that if the circumstances were right (Time machine, single, she’s of age, no chance you could accidentally become your own relative…)

LOL The company, facing financial uncertainty, recently laid off 357 workers primarily at its headquarters in Seattle I did not realize this. You can tell somebody’s political affiliation by whether they shop at REI or Cabella’s… 555

Tesla Model 3 goes 5.08 miles per kWh, roughly, maybe, ballpark 40 kwh added in only 7 minutes of charging. 5.08 X 40 = 203.2 miles on a 7 minutes of charging I just googled this because I didn't understand the 40 kwh I'm still not sure what this means: Still pulling 300 kw at 60%.

@Horace said in Smalls: No white castle here. I wonder if the shipping container thing saves meaningful money, or if it's a gimmick? Nice gimmick anyway. I suspect it saves money. Sonic does something similar, although they don't use shipping containers. They form up the slap, stub up the pipes, pour the concrete and set the whole prefab kitchen up by crane. Once Sonic starts setting the kitchen in place, they're training staff in a couple pf weeks (weather permitting).

30 odd years ago I went to a retirement dinner for the Director in charge of provincially managed airports under the Ministry of Transportation. He was a highly respected man. There must have at least 200 or more people at the dinner. He was also an RCAF veteran who was one of the POW’s involved in the great escape and was one of several consulted in making up the Scrounger character played by James Garner. He said that the character was made up of three or four prisoners who scrounged for the tunnel crews.Very outgoing and engaging fellow with lot’s of stories.

Wow, your answers were better than I expected. Very thankful! Interesting to know about VFR vs IFR. For VFR, I wonder if the odds are so low of a mid-air collision that you can visually watch out for other planes (or listen for them on the radio). So the analogy for flying and pre-approvals is sort of like... you're leaving one parking garage (sometimes with an attendant, if it's a big garage) then you are free to drive (fly) wherever until you are ready to park at the next garage and, again, if it's big enough you have to call them 20 minutes ahead of time to let them know you're coming. Anyway... very cool stuff. I took one very short flying lesson one time. I really enjoyed the feeling of it. As a n00b, of course I often thought "this is really cool but this is not a video game, if I screw it up there is no do-over". Still, very fun. I'll stick to boating here in MN, though.
